UK Lockdown, Operating hours and Booking status

As Christmas fades away and we welcome the new year, 2021 has brought us the first UK lockdown of 2021. Following the Government's announcement on Tuesday 4th January, the rules are clear and we must follow them as strictly as possible to keep safe and healthy.

Can I visit the Showroom?

The Showroom is strictly closed for general browsing and any other unscheduled visit. Please do not visit us unless you have an arrangement as per below.

Before you ask: We don't know when the showroom will re-open, as we wait for further instructions from the Government.

Please note we only have a small number of employees working so please bear with us but we are always available to help as much as physically possible. As there are less of us here, enquiries and hold times might be slightly longer than usual.

R-Tec Auto Design and RTECSHOP.com will remain operational for:

- Click and collect website orders, mail orders, or orders placed over the phone. We will, of course, make an arrangement for you to collect, with instructions on how we're keeping collections contactless.
- Delivery and returns of online orders
- Workshop bookings*
- Telephone enquiries, website enquiries, warranty and tyre inspection services during working hours

Please note: We have taken measures to protect everyone at R-Tec, including plastic barriers, hand sanitising stations and barriers - Please watch our information video below.

What about Workshop bookings/Installation?

We are operating with a reduced team of Workshop staff to carry out Workshop bookings. As R-Tec Auto Design is categorised as an Essential business, we are taking bookings.

Can I sit down while I wait?

Sadly, no. We have always been proud of our 'while you wait' service, free drinks and welcoming showroom since 2001. Sadly, temporarily, none of the above is currently an option.

Waiting areas and facilities such as the refreshments area are CLOSED. If you are dropping off a car for Workshop services you will have to wait outside or return once the job is complete.

What about online orders and collection?

On RTECSHOP.com, you can still order online for delivery, collection or professional installation at our St Albans Workshop R-Tec Auto Design, during opening hours.

Our team will arrange a convenient time for your visit, to maintain social distancing rules. Please contact us if you have any queries or concerns about current or future bookings.

I have questions about a product, or about my order!

We aim to reply to all website/email enquiries within 24 hours. We are operating with a reduced team of Sales staff to reply to enquiries, process online orders and manage Workshop bookings.
