Our custom-built stainless steel systems come with a lifetime warranty and can be installed while you wait. Having hand-made thousands of systems since 2001 we can remove and replace cat-back exhaust systems on 500+ vehicle makes and models.

How loud will it be?

On a cat-back exhaust system (from the catalytic converter all the way 'back' to the tailpipes) we offer quiet, sporty or loud options. This is determined by the presence of an exhaust resonator in the system.

For quiet systems, we fit a large resonator box, in some cases chambered, to suppress the exhaust sound. As the material of our exhausts is stainless steel, a replacement Longlife exhaust will always be slightly louder than the original, heavy mild-steel exhaust.

For our sporty and loud systems, our technicians install a small resonator or do not fit a resonator at all. This increases the volume to your taste, as the sound waves travel unrestricted down the pipework (we call this 'non-resonated')

Do I get to chose my tailpipe?

Of course! We keep many different designs in stock at R-Tec in St Albans. During the quotation process, our team will explain about the three tiers of tailpipe designs. Tier 1 is included with all rear box and cat-back exhaust quotations. Tier 2 and above are additional options that consist of dual-skin designs, burnt-tips, black chrome or even carbon fibre.
